Hi, I'm Ciara and I'm a 21 year old fashion graduate currently living in Milton Keynes. Posts consist of personal style, fashion and beauty.

Blanket For Autumn.

On Friday I went to watch Stand Up To Cancer be recorded with my sister. It was cool to see how everything is done and to watch performances from Ella Eyre and Nicole S. But obviously more importantly help raise money and awareness for cancer.
I wore my new blanket I bought from and I love it as it is so so warm and similar to the Burberry one. Plus, 20% student discount how can you go wrong?
I teamed my blanket with my stripped top, denim shorts and my fabulous suede knee high boots.
Have you bought yourself a blanket yet?

September Favourites.

How quick did September go?! I feel like I always start my monthly favourites with that line because this year has gone super quick!
I am however very happy it’s October as it’s my birthday month. Not only is it my birthday but October is one of my favourite months because it’s halloween and the leaves are starting to turn all the beautiful autumn shades.
So let’s get started.

My first favourite is the book Paper Towns by John Green. John is the author who wrote The Fault In Our Stars which I adored so I had to pick this book up. Now I must admit I’m not much of a reader. I only read on holiday or if I’m doing train journeys everyday which I have been lately. This book is so good! I read it over 5 days but if you add it up it took just under 5 hours. They announced that Cara Delevinge is to play the lead girl and people weren’t too happy. I however think she’s a perfect Margo! Honestly give this book a try I’m sure you’ll love it.

My second favourite is the Boiing concealer by Benefit. I’ve been using this under my eyes for the last 2 months and really like it. I normally find with concealers that they crease under my eyes however this doesn’t. It goes on so smooth too, feels like satin.

My third favourite is Garnier Ultimate Blends shampoo and conditioner. I love this shampoo and conditioner! Having used Aussie for the past few years I didn’t think I’d find another brand that will make my hair feel soft until this came out. It has argon oil and sheer butter in, which has made a difference to my hair especially when it’s curly, as curly hair is naturally more drying. It’s super cheap too. I bought a 400ml bottle of each for a total of just over £7 so a good bit cheaper than Aussie.

The next favourite I’ve been loving this month is the holy grail amongst bloggers, Nars Sheer Glow foundation. Now I bought this back in May and I used it for a month before changing to Mac. I wasn’t a massive fan because I felt it went on lovely but after a few hours, the foundation on my chin wouldn’t be as smooth. So I stopped using it but then started again at the start of September and I now love it! It gives great coverage and a fab finish. I however have one downside. I’m not sure if it has caused me to breakout as since I’ve started using it I’ve started to get small spots on my chin, near my lip and on my cheek. Now it could be the foundation or the pollution of London as I’ve been interning there the past 3 weeks.

My last favourite is my Mulberry Alexa bag. Now I bought this for myself as a well done on my A Levels just over 3 years ago now. I’ve always loved it and used it a good bit, however I’ve used it almost every day this month. It’s a great size and I’ve been wearing it across my body a lot and it’s super comfy.

2) Boiing (Benefit)
3) Garnier Ultimate Blends (Boots)
4) Nars Sheer Glow (Space NK)
5) Mulberry Alexa (Mulberry in Bicester Village)

Apologies for the really bad photo, the trains were crazy delayed yesterday so it was quite dark when I got home.
Anyhooo, how amazing are these boots?! I’ve been looking for a pair of suede knee high boots but didn’t want to spend loads. However, I found these in H&M for only £34.99! Plus they’re doing 20% off for students so I only paid £27.99, what a bargain.
I teamed the boots with this floaty floral dress I’ve had for over 5 years now.

Dennis The Menace.

I was feeling very sports luxe in this outfit. I’ve been looking for smart jogger type trousers and I found these in Zara the other day.
I threw on this mad Dennis the Menace jumper to give the look a bit of an edge.
I finished the look with my oversized pink coat and my air max trainers.

Sports Luxe.

Apologies for not posting in a while, I’ve had a busy few weeks what with finally graduating and starting a new internship last week.
Yesterday’s outfit consisted of pastel colours, band tee, trainers and a full skirt.
I love this £23, yes £23 coat from Primark. I always get compliments on it, and people are always so shocked when I say the price and where it’s from.
I wore one of my favourite skirts as it makes me feel dead girly with my Rolling Stones band tee.
Finishing the outfit I popped on my ever so comfy New Balance trainers.

August Favourites.

I’ve been meaning to do this post for about 2 weeks now and I’m finally getting round to it. How is it September already?! Although I love September as it’s one month away from my birthday, halloween and it’s Fashion Month!

So let’s get to it…

My first favourite this month is my monochrome backpack from Primark. I bought this in June and I’ve been using it quite a lot recently. You’d be surprised at what you can fit in there.

My second favourite has been Bio-Oil. I’ve used Bio-Oil on and off for about 5 years but the last 6/8 weeks I’ve been using it every evening. I began to use to as I suffer from quite bad scarring from having really bad acne as a teen, but I’ve found it’s helped my skin become a lot softer and hydrated. Fingers crossed I’ll see an improvement in my scarring too.

Another monthly favourite has been my Nivea Light Moisturising Day Cream. I use it every morning and find it a great base for my makeup. It’s also good because it has an SPF15 which is important, especially as I’ve started wearing my Nars Sheer Glow foundation again which has no SPF.

My forth favourite item this month has been Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub. Now I only bought this maybe 2 weeks ago but it is AMAZING! One, it smells delicious but it also makes my lips super soft. I suffer from cracked lips quite a lot no matter how much lip balm I use, so I’ve found this a life saver. I love putting it on just before my lipstick too which helps create the perfect base.

Last but not least, my final favourite has to be Becca Rose’s YouTube channel. I’ve been watching her videos for about 4/5 months now and I love her! She comes across really funny and I love her tutorials and hauls (I bought the above backpack after watching one of her videos.) So if you haven’t watched any of her videos before, definitely check her out! Here’s her link:

Schoolgirl Chic.

Today I wore all Primark everything except my shoes. You would never believe that this whole outfit including the necklace cost a total of £54! I do love Primark.
I bought this super cute knitted skirt a few days ago and was unsure what to wear with it, but I think this mohair jumper looks really cute.
I added my pastel necklace (which I adore) to give a bit more detail to the outfit.
I completed the look with my DM’s and my fabulous new coat. I’m in love with this coat and I’ve been waiting for weeks and weeks for it to launch in store. If I saw someone wearing it, I would think that it was £90 from Topshop not £30 from Primark. Bargain!

I love love love this sleeveless jacket! It’s on trend and perfect to smarten up an outfit.
I teamed my Metallica band tee, black skinny jeans and leopard print shoes to complete the look.

Emmy Awards Best Dressed.

Red was a big hit on the red carpet at last nights Emmys. Stars such as January Jones, Christina Hendricks and Heidi Klum dazzled in the colour.

My top four gowns of the night were January Jones, Taylor Schilling, Lizzy Caplan and Sarah Hyland.

I must say my best dressed of the night had to go to Sarah Hyland. The Modern Family actress was a look of perfection when she walked the red carpet. The young star wore a Christian Siriano gown which was perfect for her. In addition, the ballerina bun and makeup was flawless just like the starlet.

Well done to Sarah’s team for the show stopping look.
